Congratulations to Our Veeva Hero!

We are thrilled to share that Alison Hughes, Head of Business Enablement at Simbec-Orion has been recognised as a Veeva Hero,  well done Alison!

Alison is a clinic research technology leader, passionate and committed to enabling Simbec-Orion’s growth and success.

Working within Simbec-Orion’s core clinical processes, collaborating with numerous sponsors and study sites is not easy and Alison has been instrumental in changing the way clinical trials are managed within Simbec-Orion to enable efficiencies in processes, provide a single source of truth, and, most importantly, improve the work environment for end-users.

Alison and her small team started their Veeva journey back in 2019 with the implementation of eTMF followed closely by CTMS in November 2020 despite the challenges of COVID19.  The first phase of eQMS, QualDocs and Training, went live in February 2022 with phase II scheduled to start later this year.

Alison has worked for Simbec-Orion for nearly 20 years and recently has been able to realise a career-long dream to simplify and streamline the delivery of trials for Simbec-Orion’s clients.  The impact Veeva eTMF, CTMS, and QMS is having on the Simbec-Orion bottom line is clear to see and incredibly rewarding – the partnership has enabled us to bring new clients and excel in our therapeutic area expertise.  Though challenging to embed all the necessary changes, Alison continues to be the upfront champion for process change and has ambitious plans to continue the transformation.

Implementing Veeva Vault Quality Suite applications will not only help Simbec-Orion increase efficiency through digital execution, it will also strengthen our QA processes, driving quality and oversight across our operations.
